Behind every Prosol UK project is a dedicated team of experienced professionals who care about doing things properly. From initial planning through to final handover, our team brings together hands-on industry knowledge, practical problem-solving and clear communication to ensure every project runs smoothly. We take pride in being approachable, responsive and committed to delivering high standards — no matter the size or complexity of the job.
Doug Wilkinson
(Operations Director)
Doug is Prosol’s Operations Director, with 18 years’ experience in the construction industry, leading the delivery of projects across refurbishment and complex builds.
He oversees operational performance, programme delivery, quality, and compliance, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Doug works closely with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and has extensive client-facing experience. He also has a strong working knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work, with hands-on experience in design development, technical coordination, and managing the transition from pre-construction to handover and completion. Outside of work, Doug channels the same determination into his personal challenges from open-water swims to completing Ironman’s, proving he’s just as fearless outside the office as he is on site.
Darren McGonigle
(Operations Director)
Darren is one of our operations Directors, he has been in the construction industry since the day he left high school, his experience from working his way up from site labourer to becoming a Director of Prosol has given him deep understanding to every level of this industry.
He has a great man management skill set and enjoys learning new things from other people’s viewpoints and experiences.
He is always looking for new challenges or ways to learn within the construction industry. Darren enjoys working as part of a team and believes that everyone has something they can contribute to help complete any task, project or challenge.
Out of the office Darren enjoys spending time with his young family and logging runs on Strava.
Chris Goodison
(Commercial Director)
Chris is a Director at Prosol and co-founded the company with David in 2002. He has played a key role in building Prosol into the business it is today, bringing a practical, hands-on approach and strong leadership to every project.
Hard-working, organised and commercially astute, Chris draws on over twenty years of site experience to confidently plan and deliver works on time and within budget. With extensive experience working with public sector bodies on complex and logistically challenging projects, Chris has a strong ability to scope, price and deliver successful outcomes.
His combination of commercial insight and real-world construction knowledge allows him to lead teams effectively and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, making the most of his house in Abersoch, and (despite the ups and downs) is a loyal Manchester United supporter.
David Hickson
(Director)
David is a Director at Prosol and co-founded the company alongside Chris in 2002. Starting his career as a plasterer, David built Prosol from the ground up, bringing strong practical knowledge and a hands-on mindset that continue to shape the business today.
He led the construction side of the company for many years as Construction Director, playing a pivotal role in establishing Prosol’s reputation for quality and reliability. A highly experienced construction professional, David’s trade background gives him a deep understanding of site operations, workmanship and delivery. Although he stepped back from his day-to-day role as Construction Director a few years ago, his knowledge, guidance and experience remain an important part of the company’s leadership. Outside of work, David is a true dog lover and spends much of his time in the countryside with his Rhodesian Ridgeback – enjoying a slower pace of life away from site.
Lydia Morris
(Finance Manager)
Lydia joined Prosol UK Ltd in April 2016 and has become an integral part of the team, overseeing both the financial and operational side of the business.
With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for improvement, she manages the company’s end-to-end finance operations from financial planning and analysis to balance sheet reconciliations, controls, and reporting.
Lydia thrives on innovation and collaboration, consistently bringing fresh ideas and new ways of thinking to the company.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys travelling and is always planning her next holiday often before she’s finished unpacking from the last one.
Ashley Maidment
(Quantity Surveyor)
Ashley is a Quantity Surveyor at Prosol, working in the industry since November 2016 on a variety of construction projects. He focuses on cost planning, procurement, and commercial management, helping projects stay on budget and on track. He enjoys working closely with clients and project teams to find practical solutions and manage risks early on.
Ashley is detail-oriented, commercially minded, and passionate about delivering good outcomes for everyone involved. He likes keeping things clear and straightforward and is always looking for ways to add value throughout the project lifecycle. Outside of work, Ashley is a keen Bolton Wanderers supporter, a season ticket holder of over 30 years He also enjoys attending classic car shows across the country.
Sharon Dutson
(Site Administrator)
Sharon has been our Site Administrator since December 2017. This involves co-ordinating and managing of all site documents and ensure all Project files are regularly updated with current drawings and documents. Sharon monitors compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and Company policies. She has great communication skills which she has mastered over many years’ experience, this enables her to offer great support to the Project Manager. If you ask the team to describe Sharon, they will say she loves to travel and is never in the country, so not quite sure how she manages to do any of the above!
Sam McGlynn
(Accounts Administrator)
As an Accounts Administrator in the Finance Department of Prosol, Sam has been supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business for the last four years. Sam particularly enjoys working closely with the site supervisors helping to create a strong link between the office and site teams. Sam takes pride in maintaining thorough communication across the business and contributing to an efficient, well-connected team environment, ensuring everything is kept organised and compliant. Outside of the office, Sam is a good cook and also (some may say unfortunately) a keen Tottenham Hotspur supporter.
Rob Gale
(Site Manager)
Rob is our site manager and has been working on multiple sites around health
care, education and commercial sites for us since 2017. He is a head strong individual with a can-do attitude, led by company policies and procedures. He enjoys working under pressure and working to and completing programmes. Rob prides himself on the respect he has built from working relationships with trades men, project managers and directors alike. Pushing and driving people to succeed with positive management skills and confidence is a key part of daily life for Rob. Outside of work Rob like to spend time with his family and enjoys going for a couple of pints at his local.
